20th Annual Run for The Cove

Description

The 20th Annual Run for The Cove is an event to benefit The Cove Center for Grieving Children.

The Cove Center for grieving children is a volunteer-based organization designed to help children, teens and their families through the grieving process. Twenty-two years ago, the first Cove site was founded in Guilford with only 6 families and 8 children. Today, we are the largest children's grieving center in Connecticut with 7 sites in Guilford, New Haven, Meriden, Stonington, West Hartford, East Hartford and Easton - Serving Newtown/Fairfield County.

This event is being held at the Guilford Fairgrounds on October 15, 2017. Rain or Shine.

• 5K Road Race
• 2 Mile Memory Walk
• Kids' Fun Run

Special Prizes awarded to:

• Overall top 3 male and female runners
• Additional Top 3 male and female runners in nine age categories
• Pre-registered children participating in the Kids' Fun Run will receive a t-shirt and medallion.
• Individual and Team Fundraisers who raise $100 or more are eligible to receive one gift from 7 levels of Thank You Gifts (provided by an anonymous donor).

This is Disposable Chip timed (''Gun'' Start) event.
Teams who raise $250 or more collectively will have their Team Name printed on the back of their tech shirt!
