James B. Cosgrove
First Selectman James B. Cosgrove graduated from Branford High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of New Haven in 1996. After graduating from college, he began work at his family’s Branford business, Cosgrove Construction, where he has served as Project Manager for over 20 years. In his capacity as Project Manager, he was responsible for preparing estimates and budgets, negotiating, contracting and managing schedules.
James B. Cosgrove was elected as First Selectman in November 2013, after serving on the Board of Selectmen from 2011 to 2013. In addition, he previously served on the Branford Representative Town Meeting (RTM), the town’s legislative body from 2009 to 2011. While on the RTM, he served on several committees, including Administrative Services and Rules and Ordinances.
Currently, he serves as a member of the Bristol Facility Policy Board Executive Committee; Chariman, South Central Connecticut Council of Governments; South Central Connecticut Council of Governments Transportation Committee and Regional Economic Xcelleration Executive Board.
He and his wife, Nicole, have two young daughters, Ava and Lila.
David DeMaio,President / Treasurer, Leed AP
David started his career with Munger Construction in 1983 when he was first hired by Phillip (Pat) Munger as a carpenter. David assumed the position of owner and president in 1992. Under his direction, the company expanded its’ full service general contracting, created a new solar division, SOLAR by mungergreen, and added the Building Renewal Program to the company’s portfolio of services. David graduated from Eli Whitney Vocational Technical School in Hamden, CT, and Keene State College in New Hampshire with a BS Degree in Technical/Vocational Education. David has served on the Regional Advisory Board for Varco Pruden pre-engineered steel buildings company and currently serves on Varco Pruden President’s Advisory Council. He is a member of the Chief Executive Peer Group of New Haven County and serves on the Board of Directors of The Connecticut Business and Industry Association
Greg Nobile is a Branford based entertainment and hospitality entrepreneur who holds the distinction of the being the youngest Tony Award winning producer on Broadway. As Executive Producer at Seaview Productions, Greg has produced the Tony Award winning musical A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Escape to Margaritaville and the upcoming Moulin Rouge: The Musical on Broadway, the Olivier Award winning revival of Gypsy starring Imelda Staunton, and the Lortel Award winning revival of Sweeney Todd at the Barrow Street Theatre Off Broadway. Greg also manages an extensive investment portfolio of global entertainment investments and owns a digital start up called Did He Like It, a critical review aggregator for cultural experiences. In the food and beverage space, Greg is the co-founder and managing partner of Flying Horse Hospitality, a company that develops, builds, and operates experiential hospitality concepts on the shoreline of Connecticut including The Stand and The Friki Tiki in Branford.
