In this class learn to use a support (clay board, canvas panel, cradle board, illustration board), with a hard surface to create an interesting textural background by adhering a variety of rice papers. On this covered support create asymmetrical grid patterns, encasing pressed flowers & or pressed leaves, confetti, red onion skins, and other materials to enhance your work. Subjective imagery can also be lightly drawn or traced onto the background. You will learn to encase materials and to paint and tint to make your unique work of art.
