    Program and Events Coordinator

    Position Description:

    Reporting to the President, the Programs and Events Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Chamber’s programs and events including networking events, membership breakfasts, dinners, other community events and serves as staff liaison to appropriate Chamber Committees. Full-time position.

    Specific Duties Include:

    • Manage logistics from initial stages of program development through program wrap-up and evaluation. This includes but is not limited to site research, contracting, budgeting, rooming, registration, food and beverage planning, amenities, audio-visual, transportation, staffing and special event and program planning
    • Research and manage various vendors to ensure best quality/least cost for each event, as well as ensure all contract services are provided
    • Supervision of volunteers as required
    • Assists with solicitation of sponsorships as needed
    • Travel to meetings as necessary and to events overseeing onsite operation
    • Ensure all contract services are provided
    • Maintain accurate records and files for each event that can be utilized for future events as needed
    • Work closely with other staff to prepare all marketing pieces and onsite collateral

    Requirements:

    • High emphasis on clear and concise communication with membership and committee volunteers
    • Previous event coordination experience
    • Ability to work on evenings and weekends as needed
    • Ability to work under multi-deadline pressure in small office
    • Strong project management and implementation skills
    • Presentation and facilitation skills
    • Interest in strategic thinking and planning
    • Optimistic, positive and proactive in approach
    • High energy and enthusiasm
