Branford Compassion Club hosts its annual Animal Awareness Day noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1 on the Branford Green, featuring the Blessing of the Animals at 1:30 p.m. Music, bake sale, kids' activities,food trucks, mini horses, goat yoga and business and animal-related vendors.
