Essex Summer Arts Festival Saturday, June 9 10am-5pm Sunday, June 10 11am-5pm 12 Main St. Essex, CT Spend an afternoon outdoors taking in the Shoreline’s vibrant art scene at the Outdoor Summer Arts Festival on the Essex, Connecticut Town Green. Saturday and Sunday, June 9 and 10, meet some of the region’s most creative painters, photographers, and fine artisans exhibiting pottery, wood, jewelry, fabric and more! Find the perfect piece of art or a unique gift for yourself, family and friends. It’s the perfect time to spend a day or two seeing great art, dining at Essex’s noteworthy restaurants and taking a stroll to the famed Essex marina and waterfront. Presented by the nonprofit Art Center Killingworth and its gallery Spectrum Art Gallery and Store, the Festival is a free fundraising event located at 12 Main Street, Essex, open Saturday, June 9 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, June 10 from 11am-5pm. A percentage of all purchases benefits the Arts Center and Gallery, directly supporting the community by continuing to develop enriching instructional art programs and summer camps, as well as presenting several exhibits and events throughout the year for emerging and established artists to participate in. Remember that Sunday, June 17 is Father’s Day – the Festival is a wonderful opportunity to find something special for the dad(s) in your life! And a five-minute drive away, you can continue your visit at Spectrum Gallery and Store for an exhibit of select artwork by the Festival artists. Enjoy the show and store at this contemporary, light-filled space located at 61 Main Street in Centerbrook. The Gallery hours are Wednesday-Saturday (12-6pm) and Sunday (12-5pm). The Festival Group Gallery Show will be open May 25-July 8, 2018 with an Open Reception on Friday, May 26 (6:30-9pm).
