Family Astronomy Night at Meigs Point Nature Center

Members of the Astronomical Society of New Haven will have their telescopes set up to show you some of the best objects in the autumn sky. If the skies are clear, we will be able to see Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, the Andromeda Galaxy, the Dumbbell Nebula, star clusters, colorful double stars, and many more fascinating objects in deep space. Bring binoculars if you have them so you can do your own exploring in between looks through the big telescopes. If you bring a flashlight, please cover it with red cellophane or red plastic to preserve everyone's night vision.
