Guest Motorman Experience – 2026

Description

The Guest Motorman Experience is offered on select dates throughout the year, with operating sessions scheduled across five designated program days.

Each session provides a private, one-hour supervised operating experience on our historic railway line. Equipment assignments vary by date and may include:

• Historic streetcars (trolley cars)

• Rapid transit (subway) cars

• Elevated railway (“El”) cars

• Interurban electric railway cars

• Historic work equipment

Specific cars are scheduled in advance but may be subject to operational or maintenance considerations.

All sessions are conducted under the supervision of qualified museum operating personnel and provide hands-on experience operating preserved electric railway equipment on the oldest continuously operating suburban trolley line in the United States.
