Attention Business Community:
Legislation of great impact has been passed in Connecticut this year and the Chamber wants to keep you informed as to what has happened and how it impacts you and your business. In this informative seminar for employers, supervisors and human resource professionals, employment law attorney Chad Edgar, human resource expert Margaret Luberda and State Representative Vincent Candelora will discuss employment laws that will impact your business. They include required sexual harassment prevention training, minimum wage changes and paid family medical leave. Business filing fees will also be covered.
Attorney Chad L. Edgar has been practicing law since he was admitted in New York in 2002. Over the years, Attorney Edgar has routinely advised and represented both employees and employers in disputes arising from misconduct, enforceability of non-compete and non-solicit agreements, severance agreements, allegations of discrimination and disputes about compensation, amongst a host of other issues. Most recently, Attorney Edgar was staff attorney for the Corporation Counsel for the City of Waterbury where he defended the municipality against a diverse range of employment claims.
State Representative Vincent Candelora proudly represents the 86th General Assembly District, which includes Durham, Guilford, North Branford and Wallingford. He was elected to his seventh two-year term in November of 2018.
