Description
Living with special needs or a disability is challenging for both individuals and care givers. The good news is this: there are lots of available public benefits, resources, and tools available to help. The bad news is that these resources can be confusing and even hard to find. Come learn from a Connecticut special needs planning attorney who knows how to safeguard the more complex rights and interests of those with disabilities and special needs. You’ll learn about housing options, employment, and public benefits. You’ll also learn about valuable planning tools like ABLE accounts and special needs trusts that can help you preserve money and not jeopardize eligibility for public benefits. Whether you’re caring for yourself or a loved one, you’ll walk away with knowledge on how to create a financial plan that works now and in to the future. All students will receive an easy-to-understand disability planning guidebook written by our special needs planning attorneys.
This class will be offered virtually and will NOT meet in-person. Technical assistance is available for those who need it. Email Cara MacDonald at cmacdonald@branfordschools.org for more information.
