• Branford Community Foundation (BCF) Announces 2024 Impact Report

The Branford Community Foundation (BCF) is pleased to announce the publication of the 2024 Impact Report.

In 2025, the Foundation celebrates its 45th anniversary. BCF’s success is rooted in decades of generous contributions from donors and the active engagement of our neighbors. The annual Impact Report showcases the impact of Foundation donors, partners, grantees, and more, providing updates on the advances made the prior year and spotlighting the unique stories that make BCF such an important part of the Branford community. As detailed in the report, in 2024 BCF distributed nearly $178,000 through grants, scholarships, and the ongoing sponsorship program partnership with GSB. The Foundation also welcomed six new charitable funds, helping the endowment reach a record $3.1 million—a milestone that ensures BCF can do even more for Branford. Since 2014, BCF has invested over $1.6 million back into the community.

2024 also saw the unveiling of a completely redesigned BCF website—modern, user-friendly, and full of inspiring stories, helpful resources, and the latest updates. It may seem like a small change, but it’s a meaningful stride in strengthening our connection to the community we serve. Following suit, 2024 included the proud launch of BranfordVolunteers.org, a platform connecting local nonprofits with community members eager to give their time and talent. Branford is home to dozens of organizations doing meaningful work—and now, there’s finally a simple way for residents to get involved.

In the fall of 2024, BCF hosted the first roundtable with First Selectman James Cosgrove and leaders from Branford’s human services organizations. The session included a powerful presentation on ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) community members, sparking conversation and collaboration around how organizations and community members can better serve those in need.

2024 also marked BCF’s first-ever Charitable Golf Tournament, presented by Thimble Island Private Wealth, which raised over $25,000 in support of the Foundation’s operational capacity. Mark your calendars: BCF will be back at Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club on Monday, September 29, 2025.

For 45 years, BCF has responded to Branford’s evolving needs with compassion, leadership, and vision. The Foundation remains deeply committed to fostering generosity and building a vibrant, inclusive future for Branford.
